历史上的6月5日——

　　1972年6月5日，113个国家的1300名代表在瑞典首都斯德哥尔摩召开了联合国人类环境大会。这次会议通过了著名的《人类环境宣言》，发出了“为了这一代和将来世世代代而保护和改善环境”的号召。会议因此成为人类环境保护史上的一个里程碑。为了纪念斯德哥尔摩会议和发扬会议精神，出席会议的全体代表建议把大会开幕的日子──6月5日定为“世界环境日”。同年，第27届联合国大会接受并通过了这项建议。
