2000.1--2002.3 在加州大学(University of California), Santa Cruz分校环境研究系土壤生态室作博士后。
1996.9--1999.12 在佐治亚大学生态研究所(Institute of Ecology, University of Georgia, USA) 攻读博士学位。主攻生态学,研究方向为生态系统生态学和土壤生物学。
1995.10-1996.8 在中国科学院华南植物研究所生态室,助理研究员,研究方向为土壤微生物生态学。
1994.10--1995.9 在美国国际热带林业研究所(International Institute of Tropical Forestry)作访问学者。研究方向为恢复生态学。
1991.9-1994.9 在中国科学院华南植物研究所生态室,研究实习员,研究方向为土壤微生物生态学。
